Battle.net

They can't hold BlizzCon 2012 because of all the projects they are working on, yet they are still able to hold a 2012 Battle.net World Championship? This is sort of defeating the purpose of not holding BlizzCon 2012 because they are working on other projects. They could have ditched the Battle.net World Championships and instead still held BlizzCon 2012. I think they wanted to include their Asian players by holding the World Championships there instead of doing BlizzCon in the States like they always have in the past. I'm ok with that but why don't they just say so instead of claiming they are too busy to hold BlizzCon this year. Of course this is just my humble opinion.

Why is the Philippines(Asia) being left out for 2012? Is it based on the number of account holders per region?

No Blizzon this year? WTF?!!? What is wrong with you Blizzard? Rather than do what you can to keep your fanbase/players coming back to you, you seem to be doing everything you can to push them away. I was planning on finally being able to attend this year. You have no idea how close I am to giving up on everything Blizzard because you have completely lost sight of what sets you apart. I understand that you have lost money on Blizzcon before, but it's just about the only place it seems you listen to the players, oh wait, you don't anymore. Nevermind. Seriously, I didn't watch Blizzcon to watch championships. I watched it for the dance/costume contests and for your big announcements. So now what event do we have to look forward to? Blizzcon 2013? By then you will have lost so many customers it'll be pointless. Sorry that I'm so angry about this, but I was already getting my costume started and practicing for the dance contest.

I better get Diablo 3 or Heart of the Swarm for this. 12 years for a sequel and 2 for an expansion pack? -_- If it weren't for Half-Life I'd say Blizzard is the only company with these many delays.

The reason its in Asia is because blizz has lost a bit of subscriptions in the US and what not but the game has been growing over in Asia the last year or two. Mist of Pandaria is also i reach out to asian gaming community.

what i don't get is why blizzard cant have both the world championship and Blizzcon. if they are like 5 months apart that would work for everyone. I feel that blizzcon would be most important this year because there is another world of warcraft expansion coming out and diablo 3 soon.

I will expect lots of Rouges participating in the Tourny :P and is The place it is taking place, Asia, is that just because of Pandaria is Asian Based? Either way, that is one hell of a trip.
