StarCraft II Global Finals

This year, Blizzard Entertainment held the most ambitious and wide-reaching eSports tournament in the company's history: the StarCraft II World Championship Series, a series of more than 30 epic StarCraft II events conducted around the world. We've seen grizzled veterans and top-flight amateurs climb to the top. Now, these heroes have a chance to represent their region at the Battle.net World Championship -- where a truly global StarCraft II champion will be crowned.

During the World Championship Series, we offered players in over 30 regions a local platform to prove their StarCraft II prowess and earn a spot in each of their regional championships. Players who placed at the top of their regional championships were invited to continental finals, to battle neighboring champions for seeds into the grand culmination of the series: the StarCraft II World Championship Series Global Finals, being held at the 2012 Battle.net World Championship in Shanghai, China.

The Global Finals will feature two days of grueling competition, pitting player against player in a fight for fame and fortune on a world-sized stage. While 32 of the greatest StarCraft II players on the planet will give everything they've got to rise above the competition, only one player will conquer the Koprulu sector and claim the title of StarCraft II Global Champion.

Cheer on your favorite terran, protoss, and zerg heroes when the 2012 StarCraft II World Championship Series takes place live in Shanghai, China on November 17th and 18th.
