The Warlock/Shaman/Mage trio of LG-IM contains newcomers and familiar faces. You might recall seeing video of Warlock ‘Adouken’ in action — he’s a fan favorite in Korea, and he’s been getting quite a bit of attention worldwide. Last year, he was active in the Korean Nationals under the team name ‘Kimchi Man’, where they took the trophy but wound up falling short at the global finals. The current team, including Shaman ‘Shotky’ and a new Mage by the handle ‘Avenger’, is fighting under the banner of LG-IM and looking forward to a second shot at conquering the Arena.

As the winner of First China Arena Championship , Team Old Boy returns with its Rogue/Warlock/Shaman combo for the Battle.net World Championship. From Arena Season 3 through Season 11, the trio reached rank 1 multiple times, and they entered the recent regional finals with an all-win record in the group stage. During the final match of one particularly intense best-of-3 series against DMC, Team Old Boy did a blazing rush on one of DMC’s players, sealing an important victory. The team went on to give a near-flawless performance in the rest of the finals matches, and secured a Battle.net World Championship slot with an impressive 4-win, 1-loss record.

The names of the three players that make up DoubleG might sound familiar to those who watched the 2011 China Battle.net Invitational. Dark and 霸气四射 both come from top-4 teams, and Dark himself once helped GOA dominate many 2011 Arena tournaments with his legendary Shaman skills. In 2012, they’ve teamed up with Holylol to form a Mage/Warlock/Shaman trio to compete for the glory of the Arena. They had an all-win record in the group stage, a slew of impressive matches during elimination, and awed spectators with a 3-win streak, turning the tide against War Never Changes when they were behind 0-2.

This year, they’re landed a sponsorship with AHQ for their fourth chance to represent Taiwan in one of Blizzard’s Arena finals events. Warrior ‘WANFU’ and Warlock ‘DEC’ are both veterans players, having racked up experience during the Invitationals. At the BWC, they’re joined by Shaman ‘IVAN’, and they’re ready to show their Arena skills in the Battle.net World Championship.
