I dont get qq on animation! I like it! It just needs like a little partle effects on the metor smashing to bits like d2 had!

omg i cant believe how much they nerfed the % dmg, and i feel the animation could be move violent and explosive instead of the big puff of flame, but wizard still have the most flashy aoe attacks

I wonder what the cast range is. It would be nice if you could call it down from afar.

I like the way this spell looks. A little cartoony but still makes you feel the impact. I can't deny that having the enemies that get killed by the impact getting thrown or crushed would be cool, though. Regardless, this spell looks 10000x better than Blizzard.

Meteor needs to make enemies killed by the impact explode and cause corpses to fly out radially from the center.

The problem is its too slow compared to to D2 counterpart. The splash effect is also completely abstrac and nonsense.

I think some people may be remembering the original meteors sound effects incorrectly. Aside from the feint howling/whistle from the meteor in D2, they are very much the same, and this Meteor sound actually HAS a sound when it hits :P. The diablo 2 meteor is quite underwhelming actually, when you compare it side by side with this one.

@D3BETA: Well the good thing is that nobody will be using regular versions of skills once they get access to a rune. Runed versions of the skill have different animations/sound

@D3BETA: It definitely would not feel like I summoned a summoned an actual ball of fire from space...even if this is the initial skill animation, I want to feel like I just completely effed up my enemies with a freaking meteor...not some Ion cannon.

@Loreshock: I don't see where you get 1000% The runes changes the percent to 396%, and 65% over 3 sec. So the initial hit and standing in it would only be 591 to my understanding.
