Diablo® III

Magic Find & Crafting/Identifying Items

After a search on MF through this forum every unofficial answer is MF does not alter crafting results. My question is how do we know whether MF does or doesn't affect craft results? Is it official or unofficial?

I understand why it may not and that the objective of MF is for better chances of rare/legendary/set items dropping after killing monsters. However, there are some that think MF effects the identiying of an item. Is that also bogus?

MF alters the quality of drops not crafts. If it affected crafts, all you would have to do is get 5 stacks and put on max MF gear then craft for 30mins.

Rumors and faulty assumptions about a a system that doesn't work that way.

If blizzard did add a way to improve the quality of crafts like they do with drops through MF and NV, I'd be all for it.

Someone had told me to craft I should use a Witch Doctor. I was under the impression that the class you were crafting with has no effect on it just like the NV stacks don't or the MF.

Can anyone clarify my assumption or is there a point into crafting with a class with Int?

Placebo effects and superstitions, like your lucky socks.
