I think I can say on behalf of monks here that threads like that are a bit obnoxious and presumptuous and annoys some of us folks here.

This was my post; and I still stand by it. I didn't think it was obnoxious, however after running with both good and 'bad' monks, I can say that there are many of you out there who don't know how to synergize with the WD's COB.

Yeah, just like many WDs don't know how to synergize with Monks.

How's that?

A couple of points though:

(1) Your post may not *seem" obnoxious, but the mere act of coming into monk sub-forums and offering "tips" to members here on how to play the class is presumptuous... especially coming from a player who has never mained the class. Even if you phrased it as a request, it may have been taken a little better.

(2) Your "tip" is flawed when it comes to efficiency. If you understood much about DS/Q, you'd know that positioning with that skill is a little tricky and can be just about impossible to be placed "on top" of a WD on that skill alone. For maximum efficiency, monks would DS to a target location, set up shop and WDs can spirit walk (or however you wish) to get into place to channel your skill to maximize potential. To do it the way you are suggesting isn't exactly the most efficient way. And if you followed your own thread, you'd probably see that too.

(3) Perhaps the problem isn't only "bad" monks, but maybe you could even be a "bad" WD. Have you heard of compromise - or learning to synergize with other classes, or are you expecting the whole monk world to revolve around your playstyle? Perhaps your lack of flexibility is part of the problem, not just the "bad" monks you are singling out.

Well said Nameless; I have to concur on all points.

I even learned something about how to play better with a CS monk, and hopefully others did as well so I don't think the original thread was in vain.

Having said that, if there is a better way to communicate or figure out the class synergies, I'd be all for it.

Thanks!

Great idea! Let's all go aggro the other class sub-forums, then kite them in here. With CF more or less away from the boards, the place could definitely do with some livening up, plus - who doesn't enjoy the fallout of assorted trolls gone on a rampage! Happy times await!
I like to think this is a place where we can share dreams...

well one day.. I'm really dreaming here..

I hope to get some blues in a flame war.

@Axxegrinder
just shut the crap.
don't even try to impose your own justification of parties synergy. you're one started to scream for synergies for the cause of WD in the Monk Forum!
You could have just point out the "bad" monk that doesn't goes your way instead of dictating us to follow suit for your craps thinking that we don't!

Come to think again, you're the very guy whom ask for a "one button" build for your kid where we offered some kind advices nicely and that's what we all gotten for being an "inconsiderate" bunch of baldies who doesn't care for parties' synergy as if Blizzard gave us bells to disrupt party play.
Now, that's a disappointment i had of you.
