Diablo® III

Your BattleTag Inspiration?

Just found out that aw3s0m0's BattleTag is inspired by Cartman's disguised robot from South Park episode. And we know yoda's BattleTag is from the infamous "Toy Yoda" lawsuit. See links below:

What's your BattleTag story?

Chat Assys is inspired by Assis Chateaubriand, one of the most influential public figures in Brazil during the 40s.

All my chars are female, one for each important woman in my life.

Funny Edit: Once, a long time ago, someone told me chat assis also mean "cat sitting" or something in french... Totally unrelated.

There were a lot of threads like these before, but they're all probably buried deep within the forums now, so here we go.

Pronounce the letter J out loud.

Pronounce the letter H out loud.

Now try to pronounce them together.

Those are my initials.

There we go.

Yes, "chat assis" means seated/sitting cat. Chateaubriand is a French name and also the name of a kind of steak. I can't remember the story behind it, but someone told me. :-)

My battletag is self-explanatory. :-)

My battletag is simply the name of my paladin on my wow account, which I believe was a randomly generated name. Exciting huh?

So how do you pronounce it? Lorose like morose or Loro -ese?

Like morose, so first e is silent. For some reason I can't think of any other words that might rhyme with it except 'close', as in near.

I still recall the convo we had a little while back when I was trying to figure out how to pronounce it. Lore + rose. That's how I remember it.

Yeah, I remember too and I couldn't think of any closer way to describe it at the time.

Actually, I was not thinking at first to build any char other than a Wiz.
So when I created a HC char to have fun, I decided to name it the same.
Since then, I decided to create all chars just to have them at 60.
Once I hit 60 in my HC char, I'm going to delete it. So 2 Vanessa's are temporary.

Had an old D2 Guildmate who's account name was Phor (Ph sounds like F) short for Forgotten. Kinda took that idea... and changed the spelling on a word that means when two people make whoopee. And if you take out the H it's what people watch to make it happen.

[My wow character's name was the full word spelled out with the Ph and I was forced to do a name change at level 80 after a pub group got butt hurt over the failed run and reported everyone in the group.]

prior to that my alias had always been Keyoni (or some variation of it since AOL Instant messenger so... since i started using the internet)

fun fact.. my battle tag account number for diablo 3 corresponds with the area code i live in.
