Newest PTR Datamined Info (Lots of changes)

Preview:
HotA base damage up from 325% to 535%
-- Smash rune damage is now 680% (ozomfg!!!)
-- Rolling Thunder is now 505%

EP base damage now 1832% over 9 secs, up from 745%

SSS base damage is 3777% up from 1777% over 7 strikes (This combined with the SSS cooldown removal item will be interesting)

Archon base duration increased to 20 secs

ItemPassive_Unique_Ring_668_x1 - Chance to shatter and instantly kill frozen enemies.

There's no way that gets allowed with CM.

Hm. Spamming this one maybe? Be interesting if all four can proc CM.

Not really a big change from live.

The issue has always been they explode too slowly and they take an attack turn to cast.

Archon Cost: 25 Arcane Power / Cooldown: 120 seconds / Transform into a being of pure arcane energy for 20 seconds. While in Archon form, your normal abilities are replaced by powerful Archon abilities and your Armor and resistances are increased by 50%. / Each enemy killed while in Archon form increases your damage by 12% for the remaining duration of Archon.
Improved Archon : Increase the damage of all Archon abilities by 60%.
Slow Time : Archon form can cast Slow Time.
Teleport : Archon form can cast Teleport with a 3 second cooldown.
Arcane Destruction : An explosion erupts around you when you transform, dealing 6601% weapon damage as Arcane to all enemies within 15 yards.

Can't believe no one has commented on:


Explosive Blast Cost: 20 Arcane Power / Cooldown: 6 seconds / Gather an infusion of energy around you that explodes after 1.5 seconds for (225) 1021% weapon damage as Arcane to all enemies within 12 yards.
◦Short Fuse : Immediately release the energy of Explosive Blast for (225) 1021% weapon damage as Fire.

◦Time Bomb : Explosive Blast detonates from the point it was originally cast after 2.5 seconds for (315) 1489% weapon damage as Arcane.

◦Chain Reaction : Instead of a single explosion, release a chain of 3 consecutive explosions, each dealing (97) 396% weapon damage as Fire.


That's a crazy damage buff. Definitely makes me wonder about a loss of spammability.

I'll quote myself, lol.

Seems like a huge (DPS) buff to CM.

pros: WW is about 3x damage. Explosive blast is about 4x damage. Deep freeze last 3 more seconds

cons: FN cooldown now 15 sec (instead of 12). ET costs 35 instead of 25.

Seems like an OP trade-off if you ask me.

Other notable changes:

-Energy Twister is way up in base damage. About doubled.

-Electrocute: Arc Lightning is way up in damage (310%), Chain Lightning hits 31(!!!) targets, Surge of Power is 12(!) AP per hit. Forked Lightning is slightly down on bolt damage.

-Shock Pulse: Doubled damage. Living Lightning is tripled (!?!).

-Arcane Orb: Near doubled damage. Frozen orb reworded a bit.

-Frost Nova: Cooldown increased to 15 seconds. Frozen Mist does 1592% (!) damage over 8 seconds.

-Storm Armor: Damage increased. Shocking Aspect up from 35% damage to 51%.

-Solid damage increases on both Disintegrate and Ray of Frost.

-Big damage increases on Meteor.

A lot of these changes seem like intend for us to kite more and hit much, much harder when we do hit.

Ohh yeah blame it all on the undergeared guy.....

Anyway, I'm still wagering that APOC will be removed, or CM nerfed, and all proc rates normalized to attack speed irregardless of skill usage.

I think it is safe to say that they are reducing overall resource generation ( no infinite resource build will exist IMO ) and thus increasing the damage per resource spent.
