But he's gonna have to pick between added experience and a socket.
Guess it's easy, the socket is better ofcourse.
Then again, it looks like a real grindmace.. 10 kills will give you a nice poison cloud to kill even more, which will give you a nice poison cloud x)
Crushing blow and a number of other synergies are way more valuable then stacking crit now...
at least based on what I'm seeing in-game.

They just tried how it would be with caps.
But they decided that it's more bothersome with it because with every piece of gear you get you will have to retinker so much of your gears to hit the cap.
It's a chance value, but a chance to remove 25% of enemy health on hit. On high-level endgame you can't just prioritize crit OR Crushing Blow, you actually need to balance them equally. Not to mention cooldown reduction and resource cost reduction are also incredibly valuable for certain specs.
One thing is for sure: just stacking crit and IAS is no longer the way to go.

The thing's that make the game insanely different are the 250+ new legendaries with crazy affixes that synergize with certain stats and change how you play.
For example, there's a spec that is emerging in which you stack GF% (Yes, gold find), in order to maximize Experience gain. It's based on stacking 2-3 different legendary affixes.
