I have been using mumble lately for HC games.
It is divided into different chatrooms within the server and each chatroom can contain players currently in the same game.
This can be another option to consider.
Another one is skype... it supports smartphone nicely and no need to occupy computer time.
hmm the skype on ur phone could be a possiblity for me. what do ya do just set ur phone up by ur monitor? lol. the way my rig is setup i play on my tv in my living room so i cant have a mic cord and wires just running all over lol.
I got it from applestore...ofc. ;P
you can use a bluetooth headset wirelessly connected to your phone or to ur computer directly.
it can be a good big one like this:
or just a tiny small earplug one.

Shamans of the Umbaru
I'll also be down to accept any position you guys deem I should/can undertake.
Is the voice chat mandatory?

Hey guys, if what im seeing is correct there will be clans and communities. These threads that are popping up with class clans should consider making communities instead. One clan per person but they can be members of whatever communities they wish. This would benefit people like me who are already in a clan and wish to hang out with my WD bretheren as well. Communities also appear to have a bigger roster.
100% agree with this
This Supports group synergy, and cooperation among classes

Teamspeak is another option.
This really makes more sense instead of a class clan. I mean sure playing with 4 WD is cool and all but you can't limit a clan to just 1 class. A community would work better for this idea....since that is what we are...the WD community.
I think I have used all the voice programs and find Teamspeak to be the best. You don't just have channels...the channels all have like a notes page on the right, also there are addons/plugins for icons next to your name and different UI looks, music bots if you want to setup a music channel....lots to do on there.

i do agree with this to an extent. but from what i saw in the ptr i only saw a clan page maybe i missed the community page or community is only in beta or they just didnt add it in yet.. and just becuase ur in a clan doesnt mean you cant play with anyone else outside of the clan. there isnt anything stopping you from being in this wd clan and playing with a monk or barb from a differ clan. wether its a clan or community its still our version of the forum getting moved right into the game which is what i think we all want. :)
"New Feature: Clans & Communities
To better enable players to find and play with others who share similar interests, two new social features have been added to Diablo III: Clans and Communities.
Anyone can create or join a Clan, and doing so will give you access to the Clan window (default hotkey N) and display your clan tag next to your name. In the Clan window, you'll find a Members roster, a private chat channel, and a News & Info tab where Clan affairs and information can be posted for all members to read. Clans can support a large number of players with a currently undetermined cap and require an invitation to join.
In addition to Clans, players will also be able to join Communities. Like Clans, each Community has a Members roster, a designated chat channel, and a News & Info tab where stories and a Community description can be posted. While you are only able to join a single Clan, you can join multiple different Communities. Additionally, Communities can be designated as Public or Private, are organized by categories (such as Classes, Regional, and Game Type) and allow a nearly unlimited number of players, making them a great option for meeting new people outside your Clan!"
If having the WD forums in game is what we want then the community sounds better.
A voice program would still be nice just because it is nice to be able to play the game while discussing it.
If there are ranks in the member roster then you could assign a rank like WD MVP so members know who to ask for advice
