When I create a hero I need to upgrade, I click on it but the page is an error?

PTR doesn't include the crusader. And RoS isn't available for puchase.

The Patch 2.0.1 PTR will allow you to test the many new changes coming to Patch 2.0.1, but it doesn't allow you to test expansion-specific features such as the Crusader class. To test those sorts of features, you'll need to be invited into the Reaper of Souls Closed Beta. You can find out more on how to opt-in to the Closed Beta here.

You need a beta invite.

Vaeflare would you please take some time and answer to some topics such as "Loot runs not in patch" or "Magic Find". If you are not allowed to say something or you have no further information then please say at least this.

Are the invites basically random, first come first serve, or do you guys look at profiles and give keys to those players that have clearly invested a lot of time in the game already? Cause, uh ... it should be the third one ;)

It's completey random. Also, they may take into consideration your system specs since they want to test on as wide a variety of systems as possible, since it is a beta.

They specifically said in the upcoming ptr and closed beta in the post about the F&F Beta Announcement a couple weeks ago that they were not only doing opt-ins but HANDPICKING people.

That's what I don't get, they obviously handpicked streamers and stuff for the F&F... so who got handpicked for the closed so far? What does that even mean and what are the credentials?

and are they still sending out closed beta invites??

I don't think anymore Beta invites are going out now. Having a closed beta and not getting in is a lot like Blizzard is saying "Hey we're having a party, but you're not invited." lol

Beta invites go out in waves. Just because you haven't got one doesn't mean no one else has.

what's the purpose of the "tease" features, other than frustrating and enraging loyal fans?

Sure would be nice if you guys weren't shoving the closed beta in everyone's face even though they have no control over themselvs getting into it. I mean, "Closed beta available" on the launcher is assanine since it means nothing to those who can't get into it.

The only thing assanine it you still whining about this. Go back to the pouting corner. "Closed beta available" simply reminds others to make sure they have opted in on the beta configuration page.

No they're not "completely random". Not all of them. From the beta announcement...

"In the past, participants in this particular phase of public testing usually only include friends and relatives of Blizzard employees. With Reaper of Souls, however, we've decided to buck that trend and extend invites to valued media contacts and key members of the Blizzard community. We're also inviting 3,000 of our most active Diablo III players from around the world who've opted in for beta testing—something we've never done for any Friends and Family Beta test before!"

So what you're all crying about is they are allowing more than F&F into the beta when in the past anyone not F&F would be SOL.

We all want to get into Beta. It just takes some luck along with the other criteria. Nothing to be upset about, nor complain about =)

First off, just because you pre-ordered RoS thinking it would give you Beta access, doesn't make it Blizz's fault when it doesn't. Simple research would have showed you that buying the game will not allow you into the closed beta.

Secondly, stop necro'ing threads.

I understand Blizzard with this move but still, it left a bad taste in my mouth when I tried the PTR and login screen was from RoS, Crusader was there to be picked up but it turned out that it's only for those with Beta keys.

Important thing: will this be the same after RoS launches? I mean the RoS login screen and a Crusader in the menu?
