Max MF from gear alone... is it 291%?

Hey guys,

So out of shear boredom, I've been working on making a Tempest Rush based Magic Find set. Right now hes at 286%. I have 5 pieces that are 1% off of their respective max MF value so I'm assuming that the max I could have, in my current configuration, is 291%. Short of maxing those remaining slots, am I missing anything obvious?

I know that followers can help but Im only interested in my characters gear at this point.

Thanks,
Johnny

Looks like you have almost max from regular items. All I know of is two legendary items that could give you more MF.

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/nagelring [20-30% MF]

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/sun-keeper [41-45% MF]

If you went with a shield you could get another 20% MF as well. It should be possible to get enough spirit regen gear to even perma TR with a Sunkeeper and Shield combo if you wanted too and be at max MF.

Hey, thanks Relentless. I was aware of the Sunkeeper but hadn't heard of the Nagelring. I think Im better off with the Litany / Wailing Host combo at this point. Appreciate the input though!

Are you noticing more drops?

I can't speak for the OP, but I've always noticed a significant boost in leg/set drops from high MF.

The MF boost is a huge reason why players try to farm the higher MPs for loot. The combination of 100% chance from most of the trash mob monster types plus the inherent GF/MF/XP from MP10 make it amazing for drops when you are geared up enough to farm it efficiently.

I personally go for just gaining paragon levels for more MF, but with MF being dropped from paragon and gear in loot 2.0 having some legacy MF gear might be useful. Although the bonus percentage to leg/set drop rates in torment, along with the massive jump in gear needed to farm that difficulty, might negate the value of legacy MF gear even if the items get some help from the mystic. Time will tell.

Yeah, I think so. Though it could be more of a placebo affect to then anything. I dont play enough anymore to sit down and compare multiple sessions but it seems like I do better with the MF set on.
