I have multiple characters on my account, but one very specific character "IKAROSU" crashes the game.
As soon as I create or join a friend's game, the game crashes during the loading screen. The game ONLY crashes on this character.
I tried every other character I have, and for some reason "IKAROSU" is the only character that does this.
Thanks for the reports! The best thing you can do to help us figure out why specifically this is happening is list as much detailed information as possible in the text box that pops up with the crash report, and make sure to hit submit so that your report actually makes it into us. Our programmers actually read that stuff so the more detailed you are about your character's skill/item loadout, what you were doing (or trying to do) when the crash occurred, and any other relevant info you can provide can only help us narrow down the cause of the crash.
Ya I got something similar to you Dritzz. It failed to load specific items it seems.
It might have something to do with the recent changes to cooldown/resource reductions to gear. Was looking at some of the gear on my profile.
I noticed that this item resource reduction was increased from 5% to 8% after patch
While this item's cooldown reduction was decreased from 7% to 6% after patch

I tried to access the same character after the patch has been applied. The game still crashes with the same error of unable to get a certain item. I hope you guys can fix it ^.^

My mistake, when I said submit, what I really meant was just type something in the text box describing what you were doing, and then hit either the Close or Reopen button. Either will submit the report.
Closing the report window any other way will cause the report to not send. Sorry I didn't clarify that sooner.
Patched has been applied
Still can't access my character. I'm hoping they will figure out a hotfix soon >.<
It's been nearly 2 weeks! Same error message as before.
ERROR: Game Balance Data missing Items, gbid=1979237206 (75f8c356)
Nyan, have you tried using the Scan and Repair option in the Battle.net Desktop Application (found in the Options menu underneath the game logo in the individual game window) to see if there is a corrupt file causing the problem?
If the Scan and Repair option does not fix the problem, you can also try manually resolving this by deleting the following folders:
/Diablo III Beta 2013/Data_D3/PC/MPQs/Cache/
/Diablo III Beta 2013/Updates/
Once deleted, run the BDA and let it "Update" RoS for you. It may take 5-30 minutes depending on your hardware. This will manually weed out corrupted files.

That's a good approach. I'll try that. I did copy my game files from my previous hard drive to avoid re-downloading and using unneeded bandwidth.
But as I expected, it didn't help :(
The error is from loading a specific item on my character. I don't think my game files have to do anything with that?

Maybe there's something unusual on your account? Your post is the only one I can find on the forum that shows your full battletag under the "last post" header, but there are many others with lasts posts by the OP which are edited.
Before I posted here, it said:

I tried editing one of mine to see if it changed the display, but it still just shows my usual name without the #1110.
Could be unrelated, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
