These two just don't mix at the moment. This is not new to RoS but it would be nice if somebody looked into this.
The Missile Dampening affix is really silly when it comes to anyone using grenades, because unlike other projectiles it makes grenades completely useless. Grenades just hit the edge of the bubble and pretty much do nothing.
The other extreme is that I jump right into the middle (to the rare/unique/warden) and unload all my grenades right next to it which is way too powerful but quite often a certain death.
My suggestion would be to either speed up the grenades throw/fall time to match that of other missiles or change it so that it is not affected by the bubble.
I am using my Wizardess and Electrocute, plus Blizzard for the snare.
I ran across a couple of missile dampened Es lately, and noticed that Electrocute is slowed, Blizzard is not.
In any event, I have to get up close and personal to the monster with missile dampening to have any real DPS applied. I am tanky enough that it is mostly OK, but it seems strange that both spells have different responses to the dampening field. Neither are actual physical missiles like a grenade or arrow. But I am pretty new to Wizards, so maybe it was always like this?
Sorry I can't answer that, I find my wizard way too boring to have come across a combo of skill/boss that would reflect on this.
I am however glad that you brought it up here, shows that grenades aren't the only thing rendered useless by the bubble.
