Diablo 3 : Reaper of Souls, Won't install

I have bought both copies of diablo 3 vanilla and Reaper of Souls and insterted the first diablo DVD and it installed a few filles, when it completed I insterted the Reaper of Souls DVD and nothing happened after a while it started downloading files from the internet, The problem about that is I only have a 5gb limit and I can't afford to download to much.

How can I make Reaper of Souls install from the DVD like with the orginal Diablo 3, it will be fine if I only have to update 500 MB and not download 8 GB
Hey buddy,

I was asking myself the same question. I got a hold of the online support and they told me there is no more installs on the CDs we buy other then the launchers. You are stuck downloading the entire game from now on.

sorry man.
Ah well that sucks.

Now i have to drive to a friend ask him can i leech his internet from him wait 1-2 days go back to him.

That sounds like alot of Work why can't they just put most of the core files on the DVD and just let us download the updates.

When i said my internet was slow i mean it i can download at most against 50 KB's so that will take atleast a few days of continues downloading

Thanks Blizzard

Yeah this is dumb. My game just keeps saying preparing to patch and won't get any further than that. I call bs.

Sorry for the huge checklist but here are quite a few things that can cause this:

-Ensure your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking the launcher. You may have to temporarily disable it.
-Ensure Internet Explorer can access the internet, even if you don't use it as a browser. Be sure it is not set to work in offline mode.
-Ensure you have the latest version of Flash for Other Browsers. If you use Chrome or Firefox you probably have it already but it is best to manually check and update.
-If you are on a campus or public facility some will block P2P software which is what Blizzard uses. In the launcher tools menu you can disable P2P, although this will slow patching time.
-Ensure Secondary Login service is enabled https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/enabling-windows-secondary-logon-service
-Ensure you are running as Admin https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/run-in-administrator-mode
-Some third party software can interfere with the launcher so you can try running in Safe mode with Networking enabled. Beware your antivirus will be off if you do this.
- Sometimes odd things work such a DNS flush https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/ip-release-renew-and-flush-dns
-If those do not work, you can try deleting the Battle.net Tools and Cache folders to clear any corrupt files
-Proxy Fix and how to check IE for Offline mode https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/disable-proxy-settings
-For launcher specific issues head to the launcher TS forums http://us.battle.net/en/forum/9772479/
Well I inserted the game disc and went through all the steps and everything was peachy, until it came to the redeem code step. I typed in the code that was on the disc sleeve every which way, with the dot and making it capitalized, lowercase without the dot and still nada. I'm not sure if I should return the case and disc and get a new copy or what. Technical Support doesn't have my sort of issue. Sorry for the long description. Reply back for I would like to play this awesome game.

When i tried to install reaper of souls i gave my computer the OK to download then signed in to my battle.net and it just stops there. no pop up or error code.
I was able to install the expansion but I had to go into internet properties, click Connections, Click LAN settings and uncheck automatically detect settings. The installation still took over 4 hrs which should of only took an hour at the most. Now the only way I can start the game is clicking on the icon from the DVD. Each time I try the Battlenet connection it tries to update the latest patch and stalls for hours. Although I can get into the game I can only play for a couple minutes before in crashes and a popup states "to help us better figure out the problem tells us what u were doing" My answer is nothing, playing the game like I have always done. I don't know if there is an issue with battlenet, whenever I try going on to the battlenet home page it wont load.
