*MASSIVE* input lag as of today :(

Meowr...s :(

I fired up my D3 client today after more than a day of not being able to play since my office chair decided to go SPLAT on me, and I was greeted with something very unexpected: intense input lag and in-game framerates that made me feel like I was playing on a six year old Macbook.

Now, given that there isn't even one Mac out there that can come close to beating my current system, something's way wrong here. Where I used to get butter smooth framerates and gameplay, it feels like I'm playing on an integrated GPU despite having a powerful dedicated GPU instead, and both in-game skill/abilitiy commands and chat are noticeably delayed by nearly half a second.

It looks like AT&T's Northern California backbone is once again the culprit:

This is becoming a very frequent occurence and making gameplay impossible when it occurs. I don't know if it's agine infrastructure or shoddy hardware, but something needs to be done to get AT&T to fix this since they are the host for Battle.net. The consisten degredation in service is intolerable for an online only game, and this is affecting all of your games, not just Diablo 3.

Please get in contact with AT&T and get that ball rolling. This is just...nuts. :(

AT&T is your ISP or they are the host for all of Blizzard's servers? I have Comcast and it's absolutely been horrible for me (except I had a couple days of lag-free play). My symptoms include 2-3 second delays after a friend goes online, 2 second delay when opening my inventory outside of town, occasional (probably every 2-3 minutes) delays where the monsters stop moving (though the screen isn't frozen) and my attacks don't work (though I still go through the motions) for 2-4 seconds, then all of a sudden there's a catch up where all of my button presses during those 2-4 seconds happen all at once, but so do the monsters, which usually ends in me dying.

I've tried just about everything. I'm not losing packets. I have a brand new iMac with upgraded video card and Fusion Drive. This never happened before RoS.

I installed RoS on a Windows partition of my iMac and it's actually worse in Windows.

Any tips or feedback would be welcome.
