I am a monk and have the Asheara's set bonus. I have the follower immortality legendary on the Templar and the Scoundrel. I do not have that legendary for the Enchantress as of yet. I have a unity ring on myself and all 3 followers. I only group with my cousin, a barbarian. And I only play when I can group with him because I am otherwise using my Witch Doctor to solo. I have died repeatedly to the Enchantress. I am grouped. This means that I am in a multiplayer mode. The unity ring works to kill me. So, I imagine it works all the time in multiplayer. I would like more information on how you tested the unity rings and concluded that the Asheara followers do not abide by the unity rings' rules. I am almost positive you are wrong given my experience. I have removed the unity ring from the Enchantress and she has not killed me since I did that. Before that she killed me at least a dozen times.
Since i wanted the main guide to be informative, i did not share all my testing procedure in it. So detailed how-to test were scattered among other topics, some of them in EU forum.
I'm always happy to talk about those, because i like to share other player experience and remarks. Also i think test procedures can always be upgraded. I'm quite glad you brought up that issue on the Ashera's 4 Unitys combo, let's call it A4U.
First of all, i lack details on your experience. Do you play with your cousin in a 2 formation or do both of you join a 4 member team ? Does your cousin or any other player wore Unity(s) at the time ? Did you see the Dhalgren was killed by Enchantress message ? Any screenshots ? Was there any reflect damage involved ?
There's something quite odd here : even if a follower have an immortality token, you still take damage. So if the A4U were to be effective, you could have die from any of them, the Enchantress would still take the same damage than the others... Yet you die from the same
follower again and again ? That would be possible in solo mode, if A4U was effective, and if your enchantress had tons of HP, enough to be a fatal blow.
My test procedure on this matter (to know if damage mitigation
was effective with an A4U), is really easy to reproduce, and i invite you to try.
I talked about it, there :http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/13422992532?page=1#17

Just curious how you tested it. I'm just looking for answers myself and I was trying to devise a test for this as well. But if someone has already done it, even better.
Make use of Bastion Keep wall of flames or any environement damage dealer. It's quite easy to test.
I' ve run tests in T3.
No follower : 70k damage on hit
Enchantress follower, no Unity : 65k damage on hit
Enchantress + Unity : 32k damage on hit.
Enchantress + Unity + sumoned followers (Unity on each) : still 32k damage on hit.
No main follower, sumoned Unity followers : 70k damage on hit.
To me the result is quite clear, for the same flat damage dealer, No follower = No main follower, sumoned Unity followers. In multiplayer, with no other Unity on the other team members, results were the same.
I will try to reproduce the "was kill by Enchantress" message with the same A4U as you, 2 immortality tokens and one all skill token on the enchantress. I'll give her massive HP and low-resistance to make her die often, wishing her to romanticaly take me in her death.
Then i will update this post... Still i'm quite skeptical.
