Halcyon's Ascent Amy: An Amazing revision

like im sure many others of you, I listen to music while i play D3. Today i was using my Halcyon's while playing some house music I popped into archon form and I noticed that the monsters were jumping but slowly... as if enfeebled.

My suggestion is simple: Increase the speed at which the monsters jump to coincide with 120bpm (the standard speed of house music) This way no matter what house track you are listening too all the monsters are jumping too it almost like a concert (would be awesome in large packs). I think this would add a lot of flavor to the amulet.

Lmk what you guys think

so you want the monsters to bounce more often so that it fits your techno music you are playing in the background? ....perhaps we can get the devs to make Diablo do a little break dancing for you too?

I don't know if you know this, but according to your comment it doesn't appear that you do. Therefore, allow me to educate you. Halcyon Ascent's graphic is a tribute to house/dubstep DJ deadmau5's emblem.

https://www.google.com/search?q=deadmau5+emblem&safe=active&rlz=1C1SNNT_enUS395US396&es_sm=122&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=PFbEU7qiN9CIogS0voCQDg&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1517&bih=714&dpr=0.9

The whole purpose of the "jump uncontrollably" property of Halcyon's Ascent is to simulate jumping up and down to the beat of the music like you would when you're dancing in a club (like when you're listening to deadmau5's music).

Making the monsters jump at 120 bpm would absolutely be a neat idea since Blizzard already decided to go so far with the gimmick. I guess you would think it's a pretty stupid idea if you didn't know why the item was created in the first place.

Even if you changed the jump rate it would still have to be triggered to line up with the song you're listening to. Seems pretty pointless. You'd have to pop archon on time with the song but you probably can't because you listen to house music and have no sense of musical timing.

So amazing, awesome tribute at the end.

With reference to the posted video link... they still seem to be jumping to the beat anyway. Remember, beats are just math. So as long as they are jumping at a whole number divisor, or whole number multiplier, they are in beat.

For instance, they seem to be jumping at about half the speed of Raise Your Weapon (an awesome Deadmau5 song by the way). Which technically is on beat for every other "song beat".

I listen to all kind of music from classical to metal; just no country...if you listened to house music you would know how easy it would be to activate archon on beat, not that you would need to do it every time anyway but when you did, it would be sheer awesome ;)

and that video that was posted above was great!

LOL, I like to play WoodKid's "Iron" in the background sometimes. And yes, when I do I tend to start playing to the beat.
