Possible Changes to Chantodo's Set

wand and source now roll 2-3 APoC as secondary

(2) Set:

Dominance now stacks on crit instead of on kill and APoC is doubled while a shield is active

There's no way to fix Chantodo. It's a weapon and source combo, and there is simply no way around the weapon/offhand combo that it will cost you to use. Mirrorball? Serpent Sparkler? Wand of Woh? Sorry. Nothing can put Chantodo in their league.

Bonus to a meteor like Vyr's to Archon!

(2) Set:
+250 Intelligence
Reduces damage from elites by 10.0%
* meteor damage will now choose which element to use based on the player's highest +% Elemental Damage type

How about the bonuses unlocks a 5th passive call it what you will, but it reduces the cool down of all spells on critical hit. :P
But in all seriousness this set does need some attention to bring it up to par of the other wizard items.

Lets change it to something like.

Reduces all Damage by 10.0%
Dominance now Stacks on Crit Instead of Kill and the Cooldown of Diamond skin is now reduced to 6 seconds.


Chantodo's really could be changed. Let's throw around some more ideas! I've got a few:

1. Defensive Bonus:

(2) Set
+600 Armor
+100 All Resitances
Triples the strength of all shields.

philosophy: currently, shields don't do much unless you have massive resistance, and even then they are underpowered compared to other skills. Doubling them would be excellent. Tripling them would make this a truly useful set and might give rise to a tanky build that maximizes mitigation to run its defense completely on shields, letting the player swap vitality for more aggressive stats like area damage.

2. Channelling Bonus:

+500 Intelligence
Channelling now consumes twice the amount of Arcane Power and does twice the normal damage.

philosophy: this could become the BiS for channelling builds in the endgame where burst damage is required. Note that this keeps Damage/AP constant, but allows for channelling to give more burst damage. Compare this with the legendary effects of single items, e.g. Serpent Sparker (doubling damage of hydra, cost twice as much to cast two), Mirrorball (tripling the damage of MM, no cost to cast), Wand of Woh (quadruple the damage of EB, does not increase cost to cast), and those are single items. A player is giving up two such affixes to get this set bonus, so at least on a basic comparison bonus isn't unreasonably powerful.
