Revert Dashing Strike back in to a spender?

Revert Dashing Strike back in to a spender?

Remember when it was 10 spirit.

Ok, it's better now so it costs 60 spirit. (big spirit pools incoming).

This would allow you to control your dashing more effectively but limit spam.

i kinda feel like this would be good as an item bonus. ether jawbreaker being changed to this, or another item having it. possibly changing the 2nd bonus to the storm set to this, and when used with JB the cost just not be applied instead of charge not lost. it would move the build back to a gen-spend flow, but might cause a reduction in the storm sets dmg.

Sure, tie it back to a spirit cost of 20.

Jawbreaker users get changed to a charge system.

Fixed.

so, youre saying being able to spam a 3k% wep dmg skill several times more than we are able to currently, would not be a huge bonus? we can on average get about 3 attacks every 18 sec currently, soon to be 3 every 12-24 sec. if it is set at 60 thats almost 5 attacks, with the added bonus that it is immensely easier to gen spirit than stack cdr, and another bonus of being able to stack resource cost reduction to increase your cast per full thing of spirit.

i feel this change would be a huge step in making monks much more competitive with other classes, seeing as the problem with this set isnt how hard it hits, its how often you can effectively hit with it. although a lot more things would be needed to be taken into account, and having it cost something like 10 spirit would make it far to spamable in conjunction with the set, but more might make it much less viable as a movement/escape skill. so if this is changed back, maybe have the base be 10-20, and the storm set beef up the cost to 50-60 with the last bonus. this would keep the skill useful for non storm builds using it, but could keep a reasonable cost for something that would be doing that much dmg (although with the amount of dmg, it might need to be more. numbers would need to be crunched and it would need to be tested of course).
