I'm hoping for a LOT more of them than we saw in D2... maybe not quite as many as WoW but, certainly a lot more than the few we had. Their utility in progressing story and characters is pretty impressive...
Do we expect quest chains? Anything like dailies? On dailies, I go back and forth... too many of them, and too much, and it feels like a job... a few of them in place can be a nice way to generate a bonus pool of gold or items that can cater to the casuals (which I already know I will be one, jobs and kids don't prevent playing, just prevent playing as much as I did). |

I would expect (eventually) for some kind of dailies to be included... not necessarily at launch, but through a patch. Especially in Inferno. Not sure how they will work reward-wise though... in WoW they were mostly for gold and rep, which I don't think will be as big an incentive here.

Dailies are a terrible plague that will never be stomped out. A wildfire in a dry patch of forest that will only see a bit of char and burnt cinder until all the material is burned. Despite its terrible misfortunes it will survive intact to D3 most likely. However, I do hope it is very, very minimal.

Or at the very least, make them fun and interesting. |

jay said he doesnt like the idea of dailies for diablo 3 because it encourages you to play one character everyday. he said possibly something liek a weekly quest. no confirmation about that yet tho.

Yeah, personally I'm not a big fan of Dailies for D3. It feels out of place for an ARPG IMO.

Their utility in progressing story and characters is pretty impressive... Diablo 3 is not an MMO so expect so don't expect daily quest or chain quest. There are random events throughout Sanctuary (the world of Diablo) that includes quests but it's optional and like I said random. |
