Waiting on CE to see whether it is worth purchasing, otherwise like previous posters said, just go get it from wherever as supply wont be running out on day 1.

I'm waiting for the collector edition, but will probably just download it 12AM of the release day as well.

pre orders mean little to the people but a lot to gamestop. I was once a manager there and depending on how many pre orders we got was how many we ordered. It was a scam to the people 99% of the time we would have the game for those who didnt pre order and countless times we were told to sell pre ordered copies since we would be getting more the next day.

The only times preorders make sense are for low-supply collectors editions and consoles.

I'll walk into Meijers on midnight when D3 is released and buy it with no problem.

This.

Preorders a useless unless they come with some sort of perk(s).

Most pre-orders these days do. Knowing Bliz, it will probably be a WoW pet or something of the like. Not exactly useful, but worth a few pennies selling the code on eBay, lol. SC2 was just a poster.

Uh, no, Starcraft 2 CE came with a whole bunch of stuff. Where you getting that jibberish "just a poster"

I think he's referencing the swag given away by some retailers on launch night and to some people who pre-ordered.
