One question, how does the demon hunter reload his/her single handed crossbows.

Carefully.

Im thinking i'll use a single handed cross bow. Dual wielding cross bows ate up my hatred too fast and with cross bows normally being more base damage than bows, you get much more damage for your hatred cost that way since abilities do xxx% of weapon damage.

I think people will vary a lot depending on the skills they like and end up using the most though.

If its viable for the way I play, I'll use 2x Crossbow.

Still gotta wait and see how it all works though :P

Bow or Xbow. Bow for all-purpose/soloing, xbow if in a party with a speed buff available.

There really doesnt seem like theres any reason for using the 1H hand xbows. they do much weaker damage, eats up hatred faster @ less damage per shot and the DWing aspects means that your skills may not always be doing full damage since you switch hands each attack and your xbows may not always be the same damage.

I'd prefer a bow most likely. but the 1h xbow is the class specific item I'm sure they will make up for seeming disadvantages. Especially in terms of legendary or sets as far as demon hunter specific mods:

The 1H xbows only advantage is that they attack very quickly. Would probably be most useful in PvP when you need to get in as many attacks as possible before your opponent's close the distance. PvM though the higher damage of a bow and xbow will most likely be better.

In d2 was simple:
Bow: Fast DPS. Area attack(minions)
Crossbow: SlowDPS but higher damage on the item itself. 1v1(uniques, super uniques, area boss)

In d3 complicated:
At early levels players will go for crossbow becuase a faster and higher DPS. Both weapons at the end will have the same DPS. But crossbow will hit faster.

Either melee or ranged classes of WoW chose the weapons with higher damage but lower speed in PVP, I don't know whether it can be succeeded in d3. If so, I prefer the Tow-handed Crossbow, much stable damage and tremendous critical damage.

yaaa alabaster rule in impale sounds devastating with a crit based build.

Still so far the stats in the dual 1h bows look really nice if you have some kind of speed build or maybe one more reliant on the grenades or what-not.

Absolutely prefer crossbows. So much faster and more effective.

For me, it will likely depend on the drops, but right now, in the beta, I am liking bows.

I'll dual 2H bows, my hatred will magically pull the strings for me.

2H or 2x1H crossbows.

Seems cooler looking to me. :)

twins. (2 xbows)

To reload the 2h crossbows, the pulls the strings back with her other crossbow and/or cocks it against her hip/body area to reload it.

Thus far I've only used the 1 handed Crossbows (Yes, I'm in Beta, why do you ask)

This is a great question!

Let's get some numbers in this baby and see if we can't figure something out. I'm pretty sure Blizzard wants it to just be a stylistic choice, but let's see what we can figure.

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/windforce + http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/black-bone-arrows
236.9 DPS, 1.4 APS * 1.13(attacks per second)

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/hell-singer
218.8 DPS, 1.8 APS x2

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/natalyas-redemption
249.2 DPS, 2.05 APS x2

Okay, these numbers argue so hard for hand crossbows it's not even close. As it stands, the only choice we've really got from the incomplete item list is dual xbows. Hopefully, once this system is fleshed out and balanced, we can make a logical choice.
