As most of y'all know, Jay Wilson spoke affluently about a -proposed- new rune system in which runes were blank slates that took on their affixes when you slotted them into a skill, thereby retaining that affix forever. He told the interviewer that it might suck, and they might not implement it, but it was an idea being thrown around.
I've looked everywhere and cannot find an answer to whether or not this system was implemented. I've found a few sources stating that runes will indeed have randomized attributes on them, but will they lock to a specific affix for a specific skill like Jay mentioned?
There is 8 rune type I believe and different levels of them, I know a lot of animations for skills under the influence of runes were leaked, it seems like it has been implemented but yeah we won't know 100% until release.
each rune affects every skill in the game differently and gives it different attributes I don't see how it could suck.

He basically explains that runes will LOCK onto a skill, randomize which effect they have on the skill, and stay that way forever. This is very different then the old system, which had 5 different runes that had universal effects based on type, (IE: golden type effect, alabaster type effect, etc)
My question is to whether they implemented this new system or not.
