I have a C2D 3.16 8GB DDR3 500GB HDD 9800 GTX+ 500w PS 21in LCD

Nothing spectacular but should get the work done either way. Possibly look into another video card come game time. What's a good deal?

Your rig is almost identical to mine, except instead of the WD 1TB 7200RPM I went with a 600GB 10k RPM Raptor.

If your lookin for just a GPU upgrade the BEST bang for your buck is the nvidia gtx 560 hands down.

you can grab one of those now on a good deal new sub $200

if u want to drop a bit more the gtx580 is the best single GPU card on the market my roommate grabbed one online for $375 the other day.

I can vouch for this statement. I use two EVGA GTX 580's running SLI, and every game is a breeze, even with one. I wish I paid that little, per card, to be completely honest. Prices have dropped drastically since I bought mine.
