Why can't DH use Vault to jump downstairs?

Clearly, Vault's functionality and capabilities are the skill developers' decision. It's my assumption (and probably yours, too) that they mean for the skill to be used as an evasion and repositioning tactic.

With this purpose in mind, I think, at the very least, the skill should not get 'stuck' on small objects like barrels and carts, etc. At the very least, the skill should be able to maneuver past things over which the character has line of sight. Additionally, and arguably, I think the skill should be able to navigate up and down different levels and cliffs.

Who else has an opinion on whether Vault should be able to move the character up and down (or maybe just down) cliffs like Leap Attack and Teleport do?

It doesn't need to let you jump down a ledge. Even if you put aside realism for a second, movement and positioning skills really don't need to do the same thing. Vault, teleport, spirit walk, they all do different things, and it's fine like that. Each class is played a different way with unique perks to each skill.

I'm fine with unique perks, but the unique perk to the brute force character's positioning skill shouldn't render them more mobile than the character who is based around, erm, mobility.

Just saying.

Vault seems just as buggy as Blink does for Mages in WoW. I wouldn't be surprised if they used a little copy and paste :P
