Is it now official that Diablo 3 will be released in 2012? Or could this be Blizzard trying to suprise their fans at BlizzCon and possibly annouce a release date in 2011? Thoughts?

Keep dreamin'. Blizzard doesn't do happy surprises. Not on purpose of course, they're just protecting the quality of the game.

I don't think they'd try to spring a surprise on us like that. I think if they still thought a 2011 was a possibility they wouldn't not be trying to trick us in to thinking 2012. Expect 2012, probably in the first 3 months or so of the new year.
