Diablo® III

Opt-in beta profile specifications

Since everyone seems to be asking for these, it would be nice to collect data from those of you who got in through opt-in.

If you got into the game via Opt-In and wish to share your system specifications that Blizzard collected with the community, please go to https://us.battle.net/account/management/beta-profile.html and copy + paste the "My System Specifications" information to this thread.

Also, keep in mind that just because you have identical specs to someone that got, in doesn't mean that you will also get in. There is a huge random factor.

I am F&F so my specs are irrelevant, but here are some from people who did get in through Opt-In:

... I hate to interrupt your thread but am I the only one which it reads the specs for improperly? My CPU is set to 4GHz and it reads it as 3.84GHz and my video card has 2GB memory and it detects it as 754MB.

Would be nice if a general location of where you're from was also added. Some people wonder where people were picked from. So far I've seen BC, Canada. Australia, a bunch of US...

I saw quite a few from Australia myself. I don't think country is a factor.

Mine was the 3rd spec in the OP's post with the i7-2600K CPU, no my Video card is not in SLI, just a standard evga GTX 580 overclocked edition. And I'm from Melbourne, Australia.

Hope this helps,

Koth

Most likely isn't. But since I've seen many people ask, figured might as well add them right away so that it doesn't get asked another 20+ times.

why was their thread deleted?

No clue. It was ~20 pages long and seemed informative/constructive.

This old computer has a HD 3650 video card. I didnt get in beta but I DLed the client awhile back and it says the video card is not supported when I run the program. So, I wont be able to play D3 beta on this computer even if I do get in? I looked at the minimum specs and the 3650 should be ok. O.o

After checking benchmarks, reviews and checking a few websites... the 3650 turns out to be slightly slower than a x1950 which is the minimum required card for the beta. Might be why. The x1950 was a very high end card at release which probably explains why it performs better than a 3650 which is more of a mainstream card. Not a bad one, but since it's kinda getting old and wasn't high end, it's losing it's touch :\

Great.... =(

Well if you got a few bucks aside, you could get a 4850 for about 90 bucks or so, possibly for less on ebay or other places. Or you could go for a more worthwhile investment in a 5770 although then I'd go with a 6850 or a 6870 which is between 160 and 200 bucks. There's always the nvidia 460 and 560 that can be a nice option but since you're running a 3650 your CPU might turn into a bottleneck, assuming your CPU is as old as your video card.

But since I have no idea what your plans are with your computer... I guess I,m just throwing options in there.
