Would anyone be able to explain why when I go to the follower talent calculator, the templar requires level 20 to get ultimate tier, scoundrel requires 25, and enchantress requires 30?
Is the enchantress more powerful than the templar? Will everyone be using the enchantress end game? Seems to lack flavour if everyone is using the same ally. Or will the templar be just as good at late levels? I'm confused.
p.s. In no way is this a rant, or a trolling. I'm just trying to figure out if their intention was to upgrade your follower as you play.
My guess is that it has something to do with which act you're introduced to the Follower in. The Templar will be the first follower you meet, then the Scoundrel, followed by the Enchantress.
Since you meet the later ones when you're presumably a higher level, they too will be a higher level. But it wouldn't be fair for them to automatically be at a higher skill tier level. Blizzard wants us to take the same amount of time with each Follower to raise their level and subsequently their skills. Rather then say, meeting the Enchantress at level 25 and already having 3 tiers automatically unlocked.
in addition, remember that all skills in the game are based off of weapon damage and level, which means that no particular follower is necessarily more powerful than another at max level, granted particular builds may prove more fruitful depending on your class choice.
