Standard Game vs Collector's Edition

I was just thinking....

Say I bought the 60.00 standard game, but I like to upgrade to a collector's edition game. Can I just pay 40.00 more and get a collector's edition on my bnet account?

OR

Say I bought the collector's edition from the blizz store. How would I get my...

Diablo Skull and 4GB USB Soulstone (Kinda Kids Stuff)
Diablo 2 (Plz Dont Play D2 Bots Rule Over Sanctuary and It Dont Run in Win7)
Behind the Scenes Blu-Ray/DVD Set (Seen All I Need To Know)
The Art of Diablo III (Art Cool, But Gets Old Fast)
Diablo III Soundtrack (Would Nerver Rock Out To D3 SoundTrack)
Exclusive In-Game Content (This Is What I Need And Want)

World of Warcraft - Fetish Shaman Pet (Dont Know and Dont Care)
StarCraft II and Diablo 3- Battle.net Portraits (Dos It Come With Green Text?)
Bottled Cloud or Bottled Smoke items (Selling On RMAH Pay For My Wings $40.00)
Call forth glowing angel wings (Will People Hate Me For Using My Wings?)
And What The Hell Is A: unfurl an exclusive banner (Whatever It Is I Will Need It)

I guess its a win win situation. Standard is cheap and easy, but collector's edition give u wings

P.S.
Dont Hate Me For My Wings You Could Of Bought Them Two

No, you lose $60.

I suggest you put it on a separate account.

Just to clarify, what Jacka is referring to is that theres no official way to upgrade from a standard game to CE by only paying for difference in cost, and also you can only have 1 diablo 3 registered to your battle.net account. This obviously because a problem for people who gets the game for free from wow annual pass and still want to get the CE, so blizzard added an option to let you upgrade to from regular to CE if you buy the CE, and if you did you would get some wow time toward your 1 year commitment. So this leads us to assume that you can do that for a regular game you bought normally too, but this means you have to spend $60 first and get the game on your account then spend $100 to upgrade to CE, and then afterward your left with just CE on your account even though you spent $160. Which is why Jacka is saying it's better to just register the 2 games on 2 different accounts.

Or... cancel your preorder of one and change it to a preorder of the other?

There's also the fact that the CE cannot be ordered as a digital copy.........

EDIT: Just to clear up my point
Say I bought the CE from the blizz store. How would I get my free stuff?

Diablo Skull and 4GB USB Soulstone
Behind the Scenes Blu-Ray/DVD Set
The Art of Diablo III
Diablo III Soundtrack

It would be sent out to you.

Green text is for MVPs of the community that Blizzard has selected as people who are generally more knowledgeable and helpful then other members. They are not Blizzard employes just people whos words Blizzards says you should take with a little more trust.

What Doc Said. We are normal players just like you! I earned my MVP status by posting constructively in the WOW forums for many years, helping out new players, and trying to improve the forum community as best I can.

The portraits you get from D3 and SC2 won't change the color of your text for posting on the forums.

IF you want the Collector's Edition instead of the normal edition, you would have to find a way to cancel your normal account and find a Collector's Edition from a retailer instead (there isn't a digital CE copy, since most of the bonus CE stuff is physical things, it has to get mailed to you or you have to pick it up at the store).
