I agree with the above poster-The pianist, pans labyrinth, sin city, Schindler's list are all very good movies.
I would like to add these:

Amelie(comedy/drama)
Spirited Away(Anime)
Sunshine(Scifi)
Little Miss Sunshine(comedy)
The Patriot(War)
Life is beautiful(war)
Shutter-Thai version(Horror)
Frailty(horror)
Crash(drama)
Minority Report(Sci fi)
Aliens Quadrilogy-I liked 1-3, the 4th one was not as good but watchable(Sci fi)
Any of the BBC nature series.

Little miss sunshine was good movie, but made me feel very dirty irl, with low production value imo.

Dead Alive is what I'm looking at most.

Caution: EXTREMELY poor acting and production values.

But so worth it for the Kung-Fu priest and Zombie Intestines.

And by zombie intestines, i mean someones lower intestines crawling around trying to eat people...

Lost Highway (1997) directed by David Lynch

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116922/

Just in case anyone doesn't know...
David Lynch doesn't just think outside the box, he refuses to acknowledge the boxes existence.

Lost Highway, someone said Strangest Movie Ever-

I'm checkin out for sure!

Watch it twice to really get a feel for it. The movies basically broken into 3 acts.
Then watch it a 3rd time, but this time, start at the 2nd act, then watch the 3rd followed by the 1st. And finally the movie will make sense... kind of.
