IMO, the inventory juggling was the worst part of D2. I did not like having to go back to town every 10 minutes to sell/repair. Why in the wide wide world would the dev think this is step forward?
Blizzard, please progress your franchise and make the game fun to play instead of a struggling to keep the action fast paced and engaging? Why does the dev team think we will enjoy going back to town to clear our bags? |

Diablo III has a larger inventory. An enormous shared stash. Items take up less space. We don't encourage carrying tons of potions. No identify scrolls/tomes. No TP scrolls/tomes. We don't have charms. And we're still evaluating some of the other inventory items, which could free up even more space.
Yes, you will need to go back to town every once in a while but I don't think it's quite as severe as some are imagining it to be. |

While I can understand that there is indeed less items to manage than there were in D2, what happened to your philosophy of a.) fast paced action and b.) Do no harm to co-op. By removing these features you have done a great deal of harm to co-op by forcing people to, in the higher difficulties, wait on each other to sell and make return trips. Maybe a compromise is in order such that you can break down items or sell them, but it has a cast time and if you were to return to town it would be instant? |

It's still a step backwards, I don't know how you could possibly think this is progressive and fun. |

If I may quote from the article today, "We want to make it clear that junk items aren’t worth picking up." Helping us manage our inventory by making a lot of the loot completely useless seems misguided to me. At best this is a few steps backwards for only nostalgic gain, at worst it's sprinting in the wrong direction. |

Stop crying, this is nowhere near as bad as D2 was. I agree with that change, will make towns somewhat useful now, not some random place that you just go to to get a quest and never go back.
It takes me close to an hour to fill up my bags in the beta. I don't think going back to town every 45-60 mins is going to break the pace of the game. |
This would be a good compromise |
Charms really ruined inventory management. If there never was charms in D2, I wouldnt have to go back to town much near endgame because I knew what was worth picking up and what wasnt. |
