Indigo Crippling Wave slows movement and attack speed of all enemies within 17 yards.
Obsidian Dashing Strike for mobility between targets plus 32% dodge chance for 2 seconds.
Crimson Serenity is the OH SH!T button, can be used every 45 seconds.
Obsidian Mystic Ally has a single target taunt and increases max life by 50%.
Golden Wave of Light is the major source of damage.
Obsidian Mantra of Evasion for +dodge, +armor.
Thoughts? My primary concern is that it doesn't do enough damage.

Switched out Serenity for Tempest Rush and Seize the Initiative for Near Death Experience. A little more damage with a slightly thinner security blanket.

You don't really have enough survivability. Transcendence is nice but I assume it's going to take more than the healing from that to survive Inferno. All you have is Serenity which has a CD, Transcendence, 25% dodge (Dashing and Mantra's extra dodge don't last long enough to factor in), and I guess One with Everything.
I would change:
One with Everything for Seize the Initiative
Crippling Wave's rune to Obsidian
Wave of Light or Serenity into Breath of Heaven or Cyclone Strike, both runed for healing.
Also, this is just me but I think the 2 seconds of dodge on Dashing Strike is pretty useless unless you're completely swarmed, in which case you use Dashing to GTFO of there anyways.
I don't feel great about having two costly spirit spenders in both wave of light and tempest rush. I tweaked your build for a focus on CC and strong passive healing. The point is to be able to CC melee attackers for as long as possible. Any ranged damage you can't avoid will be (hopefully) taken care of through the mantra of healing. You would need to gear for +speed for this build to chase down ranged attackers and for kiting when you can't CC.

How is that NOT enough survivability? The healing per spirit spent is pretty darn good, I have a major heal and 3 second shield every 45 sec (so almost once per major battle), dashing's dodge which DOES make a huge difference when you initiate a fight, and one with everything.
I do think Cyclone Strike runed for healing would be good, but don't forget that Wave of Light also heals for ~8000 with the passive and does a TON more damage.
Tempest rush has no channeling cost with the golden rune (or so says the tooltip anyway). I do agree that I could use more CC though.
My goal is to stack Dex, Armor, healing per spirit spent, and 1 resistance (for one with everything).
I would caution you that Crippling Wave is a very slow spirit generator that is best for AoE. You may want to augment yourself with a fast single-target move. When I tried beta I found crippling wave barely able to handle the expenditures of thriftily used spenders, such as the occasional dashing strike or rare cyclone strike.
It would suck so bad to be in hardcore and not have spirit.
Really you want to have 2 spirit generators. This would be my changes on your build.
Yeah two spirit generators is a must, or a way to gain spirit faster is really going to be the major point as a monk/ as well as mitigating damage such as possible. Some abilities have a 30% less damage taken which may be nice, but for spirit generating... Way of hundred fists is the fastest Gen as of now, the Obsidian Rune stone would be nice. +24% Movement Speed, as well as Attack Speed(Quicker Spirit)just make sure you got good enough crit to make it viable.
