kind of like the skill system is now? you can respec to counter a boss or a tough pack of monsters whenever you feel like it.

Why do you still hang on to the D2 way of thinking that your success will only depend on the skills you choose?

Taking out content because people don't have the common sense enough to understand it is a horrible decision. Since when is it acceptable to punish the many because a few can't wrap their heads around a system inside a game?

Did you read a different sentence than I did?

I don't think so. The poster seems to imply with his post that beating a boss will be as simple as picking the correct skill. Did you understand it differently?

Couldnt they have just removed the hotkey from it by default so anyone could just make a hotkey for it later on? There must be a different reason they took it out

Undoubtedly in D3 weapon switch would mean having a fast attack speed set and a slow high damage set, while swapping out between almost every single attack. For instance, the monk would use fast weapons for the first 2 hits of a spirit generator, then swap for the third hit and then back again. That's a bit much.

Too bad :(

This is a great remove. Barbs would be dual wielding daggers, frenzy for 4 seconds to 120 fury, switch, 6 hammers with an epic 2 hander,
switch,
repeat,
profit.

it was strategy which added to the game. all strategy has been removed and this game is on rails while the design team of diablo are sittin the cart with us spoon feeding us pre-made characters with no human interaction or choice. its sad

but the strategy in that quote would be so extremly good that everyone would be forced to use it and than it would be annoying again ...

If that is truly the reason, I have no hope for our humanity.

LOL

indeed there is no hope

Its sad, but this

when did i state that? i said that you can swap skills whenever you desire. at an act boss? just take a few seconds to switch to the best skills to defeat it. at a tough champion / unique pack? just run away and swap your skills to a set that would better deal with them.

everyone will be doing this. especially in inferno and almost certainly in hardcore.
