last word was "early 2012" Actually Q2 is April-May-June. So you have at least one month wait but more realistically a close to four month wait. |

They're afraid of ArenaNet so they're going with a late Qtr2 release.
|
Well, I don't think anybody actually expects it to be released tomorrow as the "something cool before the weekend" announcement, so it was more of a facetious response. =P But yeah, most likely it's probably somewhere in the 3-4 month range until release (that is if they don't have some awful setback that causes them to miss their milestone). |

they decided to scrap the whole thing because the community got on their last nerve

ArenaNet is the company making Guild Wars 2, right? If they really are afraid of GW2, when would be the most strategical time to release D3? It seems like it would be before GW2 releases, so postponing it due to that doesn't make sense. GW2 won't come out until late 2012 anyway. I don't think they're really afraid of them,... what makes you think so? |

We're working on it. No specific date to state as of yet. We're just as eager to get Diablo III into everyone's hands despite what some may say, think, or believe of us. We appreciate everyone that's been hanging on and hanging out with us through the development of the game. they decided to scrap the whole thing because the community got on their last nerve That would be a terrible reason to scrap the game. ;) Plus, we understand the frustration. Perhaps we should just hug it out? (Ignore the daggers I hold.) |

People need to just stay calm and relax. It will be out when it is out.
I for one don't mind if it gets pushed back. That gives them more time to iron out bugs and polish the game up. I'd rather have a well made game than something that is rushed out to appease the player base. |
