I was wondering if anyone would think it would be fun to have a quest where the Treasure Goblin escapes through a portal and you get sucked in to Greed's realm. This idea made me think that optional, or side-quests, would bring extra fun for the best of players. Maybe it could be in "Inferno" mode only. Has anyone thought of this yet? I haven't read any forums about it..

Haha definitely reckon that Blizz should do special levels that are only available certain times of the year or special events. It'll keep the game going.
Even special items that don't have to be over powered but say xmas hats or Pumpkin Helms.

It reminded me of Abaddon when I first heard the lore entry.

I like this idea alot with the Treasure Goblin. Even if it was an end game event oryearly event, it adds to the game period. Just like the Secret Cow Level, it could add super uniques/bosses which add a higher chance for legendary items since it is the "Treasure Goblin".

That would be neat.

I thought they were saying Gheed the first time I killed one of them dudes. I thought that was way more awesomer than Greed

I have been wondering about this myself also.

I reckon you have the choice to either kill the goblin for it's loot or take a gamble and allowing it to escape with a 10% chance or so to follow it through to Greed.

Would be pretty cool if this was the case :)

Another idea for the level.

The area you go to could be like the cave in the story of Aladdin. Only one object can be retrieved. Everything else is cursed / horrible to touch.

Break a barrel there and see what it gets you : )

I def tried to jump into the portal the gold goblin resurrected though unsuccessfully. Sorta hoped I would be transferred somewhere shiny!

same! i let one live on purpose and tried to get in the portal during the open beta, but the portal is not clickable and it disappear as soon as the goblin enter it
