Q. As a follow up to that, can items dyed with Collector’s Edition dyes be placed on both auction houses?

Absolutely, but the dye color is removed. Dyes are not removed if an item is dropped/traded, though.

So now legit layers will be Selling gear with CE dyes on them or offering to Dye your Armor for a cost since you can "trade" them. Scammers will use it to steal your gear if your dumb enough to give them your gear.

But if you trust them and they are legit, then people without the CE can get CE dyes by buying it.

Dyes are removed upon transfer.

Really the demand for changing colors is going to be that big of a deal?

Suckers born every 59 secs I suppose.

If you're willing to give some random guy your gear to dye it then you almost deserve to have it stolen.

According to Bashiok the CE Dyes can not be Traded, Auctioned or even Dropped.

Additionally Blizzard is claiming that the dye effect will be removed if the armor if the armor is auctioned. They didn't mention traded, but I assume it would also apply there as well.

If this is the case, then I'll be offering FREE CE dyes to prevent this from becoming an issue. People like this ruin the game for everyone else.

What the OP is saying is that people will sell them via chat channels, or say "So and so i will dye your gear for 500 gold a piece blah blah" If it is drop or traded via screen it is not removed. Only removed when used by an AH.

Bash stated that once an traded item is dropped or traded there won't be any more dye on it.
