PC:
  • Fully-updated Windows® XP/Vista/7 with DirectX 9.0c
  • Intel Pentium® D 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 4400+ (or better)
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800 GT or ATI Radeon™ X1950 Pro (or better)
  • 1 GB RAM (with Windows XP)or 1.5 GB RAM (with Vista or Windows 7)
  • 12 GB available Hard Drive space, DVD-ROM drive (for retail disc versions only)
  • Broadband Internet connection
  • Video settings reaching a minimum resolution of 1024x768


Mac:
  • Mac® OS X 10.6.8, 10.7.x or newer
  • Intel® Core 2 Duo CPU (or better)
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT or ATI Radeon™ HD 2600 (or better)
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 12 GB available Hard Drive space
  • DVD-ROM drive (for retail disc versions only)
  • Broadband Internet connection
  • Video settings reaching a minimum resolution of 1024x768

Thanks for the help, hopefully my laptop will be ready to go. I wish I had a beta to test it.

My video card isn't on either the supported or unsupported list.

Any word on support for Eyefinity and the like? Crazy widescreen resolutions in particular are what I am curious about.

So we can't buy the hard box copy and just use the CD key that comes with to download it online? (because it requires a disk drive)

I think they did a good job balancing the specs with the graphics. Even supporting Win XP? Does Microsoft even do that anymore?

I have a nice rig but have plenty of friends with several year old PCs that should still be able to play too.

The driver's I downloaded for my card were boasting they would help me play diablo 3 better, so they better not be lying to me. I think I'll be fine. I've never met a game I haven't been able to play yet and I highly doubt it will be diablo 3.

yes they still support windows XP microsoft is currently set to cut support for windows xp SP3 in April of 2014

Yes, you can.

You'll apply the key in Battle.net Account Management, and then download the installer from there.

Well this breaks my heart to know my computer will prob. not be able to run D3 : (

I have Intel pentium dual cpu E2220 @ 2.40 GHz , 3.12 GB of ram. Windows xp sp3 , and my video card is only GeForce 7100/ nForce 630i ......

You probably won't see this, but Eyefinity is not officially supported..
