Diablo® III

Moving Items Between Accounts - Possible?

(Locked)

Also Kaivax or another blue should probably delete the idiotic Happy Birthday Jesus thread.
Hopefully they buy a better server with the money they rake in from D3 release day and allow players to upgrade their shared stash size or something. Or maybe a private stash service will be added.
One trick that I discovered for myself was this: I made the limit of different characters on my account as soon as I could (so five characters in the first few minutes on Regular mode, and after I qualified for Hardcore, five Hardcore characters.)

I found that as I played, I put things in the shared stash that other characters would benefit from, and the stash got full immediately. By having the characters created and ready, I'm able to quickly log into them (keeping them all near the stash) and grab items that are intended for them to use someday.

Now when I look at a character selection screen and only see one or two characters, it feels wrong to me.

He was referring to moving items between ACCOUNTS, not characters.

So... a blue decided to responses to a topic with answers that everyone would know, and it can easily be found on game guide, instead of replying to topics like improved chat system, what collection edition dyes actually looks like, or any other topics that has been bought up like 100 times with 20+ pages of responses... bravo... bravo...

Those have already been addressed. Why should they answer them again?

Kaivax didn't say muling. He mentioned items for specific characters, intended for them to use (Benefit from being his exact words).

While I'm a little sad at the restriction to the number of character slots, and the apparently lack of size in the Shared Stash, I can only assume it's part of a larger stance in which Blizzard doesn't want to encourage people to hoard/collect items.

Oh Ya? Can you then please tell me what Collector Edition dyes look like? Since they have no particle effect, are they the same as Rogue Dye or Pale Dye but with unlimited use?

Please slow your roll and do a little research before you turn on tantrum mode.

I'm positive that "Stash??!?!?!?" is written on a whiteboard in Blizzard HQ. It HAS to be... and I would wager that after a few months it will begin to be problem. If some of the WoW players I've come across are any indication... MANY player keep all their sets... also folks like myself collect many different sets for many spec type. In fact I would argue that the ability to change abilities on the fly will create a huge demand for many different sets. Because once people like several different types of builds they will want to gear for several different builds... and if there isn't much overlap in build stats that's a lot of loot and a lot of needed space. I mention this because recently it came to my attention some items while have bonuses to a specific ability! That means if you're build revolves around one ability that gear will be unlikely to overlap with other skill set-ups! Thus requiring MORE GEAR!! thus... more storage!

This is actually a very smart move :) Maybe I can sort my inventory somewhat like this (character by character ^_^). Will be doing this for sure.

Sorry blue but the OP's question was about moving things between accounts, not characters.

If you took the question as basicly asking "how do i get more space?" Then your nice to post that method and thanks!
I don't understand why they haven't brought bags into the game, makes sense, but then again I'm sure they'll give us more space down the road in some way
This thread reminds me of Jay Wilson's mention of the shared stash being too big... how I miss that...
Just a question.

I plan on maintaining two accounts for Diablo 3 to have more storage space.

Problem is, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to 'mule' items between different accounts. No mail system :|

I guess I could dualbox the two accounts but wow, what a hassle.

<EDIT> I am dumb, edited title and thread. There does appear to be a trade screen, but still - is there any easier way?

Let's take bets on which one of these comes first:
- Mail system
- Public named game system
- Improved Chat UI
- Improved Skills UI
- Guild system
- PvP betting system
- Titan

If I was in a more /tinfoil hat mood, I'd think that the poor muling and significantly reduced stash space was a deliberate ploy to push us towards the RMAH :)

Starbird, I think the mailing system would be pretty cool. However, were I in your position, I wouldn't think it was such a bad thing to multibox trade. I mean, when you think about it, that is still a far easier process than muling in D2, right?

Sure. Well, we don't know the policy on multiboxing yet. But it's still a headache compared to say a simple mail system.

Personally, a bigger stash is one thing I'd be prepared to use my Blizzbucks on microtransaction wise.
