Don't know if this is a glitch, but i am trying to kill the Skeleton King on my DH and i die almost instantly. Is there a quest item or something i need to use that isn't showing?

i'm trying to do the same thing, I die every time... closest i've gotten was like an eighth of life, I've been funneling him and the spawns through the walk way, makes it a little easier... but I still die.

try to avoid the first hit from his ww, It deals alot of dmg. He is using it right after spawning, so keep your distance.
Later on he will make a blue circle around him before using it, so watch his feet.
Also make sure u got some aoe to kill his minions fast, so u can get those important health globes.

You can avoid the teleport +WW attack; just vault on the animation and you can avoid it entirely. DHs tend to have issues with killing the adds efficiently if you are low level (7ish) and with poor gear. Let your follower tank (until he dies...but he'll respawn throughout the fight) and stay out of melee range. Use pots if your timing is off. Overall, it should be an easy fight. I can't recall ever seeing any character actually die on it either. So if you're really having issues, do it in a public game.

Edit: vault is at 9, so you may not have it. Regardless, you can move on the animation and still miss the hit. Otherwise, as long as you're at full health and only get hit once it shouldn't one-shot you. Stay at full health and pot when needed...and you shouldn't have too many issues.

Took like 4 tries to kill the SK with my DH, but all you need is run around avoiding the hits and killing the skeletons, the orbs will help a lot. After the first time you kill the SK shouldn't be a problem at all to kill it again.

I agree with sussekind - using vault and avoiding his attacks seem to be the best option. The DH class is a bit squishy - but becomes more stable as the character levels. Not sure if Diablo gives the opportunity to level up before boss fights like SK.

Was kinda easy as a demon hunter. might be harder as a melee idd.

I am struggeling getting SK down.

Anyone got any recommendations how to down him except what other's have replied? I am Monk, which makes ranged impossible

Really I thought he was easy! Well I did fight him with 2 other friends. So idk haha

Kite & Fight if your ranged!
Come prepared with potions!
And if your still having trouble,
remember it's not safe to go alone!
So group up with the Public Games
or invite a few friends in.

DH here, killed SK 1st try, didn't seem too challenging, and I'm no pro, died 2x so far on Act 1. Interesting, kite.

on my 3rd death... lol Gonna try these tips.

Fought SK with a Witch at Level 8. I just moved around, had the dogs out attacking adds with spiders with aoe slow. Templar helping out killing adds, he also helped healing a bit. It felt like there's a time in the fight where there are no adds so lobbed a lot of spiders at him. It felt like I fought him for over 5 minutes. Definitely get those adds since they drop health orbs and lots of moving around. Letter Q is your friend (health Potion).

I killed him with my DH on the first try. (Every day) I was shuffling, shuffling.

Seriously, though, just keep moving. I used the caltrops, slowing shot (w/e it's called) and rapid fire as my skills. I didn't have vault yet.

The Templar did a pretty good job tanking most of the mobs. The Taunt skill is good for that fight.

SK can be tricky on DH. I recommend caltrops, vault with speed boost if you have it, and either penetrating arrow or chain gang for your main attack. When he teleports, you can vault for a quick dodge and speed boost. When he summons adds, you can drop caltrops and kite them around. If you chose chain gang, that helps to ensnare them even more.

Since DH lacks a lot of big burst damage, you will have to stay mobile pretty much constantly. Practice move-n-shoot, you'll get there.

I killed him with my DH after a few tries. The first couple times I didn't even bring any health potions so that made it a bit tougher.

I just ran around with my DH avoiding the Skeleton King's attacks and turned and fired at him after my hatred built up again. Killing his minions as you go to get the health orbs helps as well. Just don't let him get close and keep moving.
