Petless build. Haven't tested out the efficacy of Haunt (currently at level 11), perhaps switch with slowing darts?

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#aZXd!Z!aa Petless aswell! I really dig poison dart and GotD, and with soul harvest this build rocks. I just go in to a chunk of enemies, soul harvest with the x5 bonus, fear the !@#$ out of them, GotD and then just burst down with PD.

Could replace horrify for example for a more efficient build, but I love this one, and I own in the beta! :)

What's the order for your horrify/GotD/Soul Harvest combo? I'm always worried about wading into a bunch of enemies since we don't have spirit walk to sneak out, but I don't want to scatter enemies before I get the chance to Soul Harvest.

Looks great, but by the guidelines of the post you've got an illegal rune in there (Vampire Bats is a level 19 rune).

soul harvest seem useless when the only things that can survive a bat cant survive a haunt : /


What do you think of Dire Bats? Normal Bats melt enemies in a satisfying fashion; do dire bats put out the same stream of death at a greater range?

Pardon my noobishness but how do you set up with two secondary spell in one build?

I've been having fun with this build actually. Someone on these forums said that COL was useless, so I was testing it out. So in this case I get my spammable dd (gotta love the splinters rune), my aoe nuke (sometimes I debate whether I like Firebats un-runed compared to dire bats, but the numbers tell me I'm wrong), my cc and of course Soul Harvest... and still get my dogs. 5% doesn't sound like a very good chance to get dogs, but try it out yourself, you'll have dogs pretty fast. The best part is when your dogs die, /shrug, who cares, you'll get more and they aren't the focus of your build, just a passive dps bonus.

Of course, later in the game, un-runed dogs with no passive skills geared towards them will likely be chopped liver. But in the beta it's fun.

I actually quite like Circle of Life, especially if you can make room for Sacrifice to detonate your free dogs. Makes for a nice random damage burst.

Also worth noting: the dogs only appear if the enemies die within 12 yards of you, which makes this passive a prime candidate for un-runed bats.
