Will diablo 3 characters expire?

In d2 your characters expire after 90 days of not playing them(or 10 days if recently created). Will it be like this in diablo 3? I personally hated this, and was sometimes a reason for not playing the game.

No. They will never expire unless Blizzard dies in a fire.

It was in diablo 2 because there was no character limit (forget if there was by account, but you could just make new accounts) so they had to expire characters that werent played. Now they have character limits.

Just logged into D2 and all my mules had expired. Glad to see you are removing it in D3.
