As we draw ever closer to the worldwide release of Diablo III on May 15, we have been unlocking more information and short stories for our heroes of Sanctuary on our Diablo III launch site. In case you missed the new short stories we've released, we have all five of them listed for you here.
Monk- Unyielding by Matt Burns "When the ill wind blows, the tree that bends will break." Barbarian- Wayfarer by Cameron Dayton His dead sister came at sundown. Always at sundown. Demon Hunter- Hatred and Discipline by Micky Nielson Valla smelled the rotting dead from a mile away. Witch Doctor- Doubtwalker by Matt Burns The war began at sunrise, as it always did. Wizard- Firefly by Michael Chu I ask your forgiveness, for there is much to speak of the wizard, and I am the only one who can tell all there is of her story. This is my burden, as is what awaits after. The ending is no great mystery. It is written in the shattered stones and broken walls that surround us, and whispered in the rumors that tumble from every mouth.

These were pretty good and I really enjoyed them all so far (haven't read Witch Doctor's yet) but... I prefer the short-stories that youtube's automated closed-captions have generated for the hero preview videos.
My favorite story beat? Monk, time in video is 2:22, the line is: "The monk foreclosed heavy armor relying instead on his superhuman agility to a... great day." |

While the Sigils are nice, this is what i have been looking forwards too every week, these stories are very fun to read, and I'm glad that they are the stories of our heroes, while the DH was obvious the others, (have not read WD yet, but its open in another window waiting...) have not been so obvious.
Thank you Nethaera :D |

The worst part about Diablo 3 is the 15 days after the beta that I'll have to wait to play again.

It's the wrong quote from a fictional story? I could ask the author if they were inspired by the "original" quote, but given that this is a work of fiction, I believe they are permitted to shape it however serves their purpose. |

I don't think you understand what quoting is. If that's not what the dude in the story said, then it's not the "right" quote. I also don't think you understand the author's intent when he changed the proverb. |
