[Mac] Diablo III System Requirements

(Locked)

the 9400m is just a crappy video graphic card, not intended to be able to play games... sad but true :-(

i'm playing on 13" 2,26 Dualcore + 4GB RAM + 9400m on 20fps on 1024x768 on Win7 Bootcamp... still better than nothing

Macbook Pro5, 5
2.53 GHz processor
8 GB RAM memory
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card

No matter what the setting are at I play in horrible FPS. The game is unplayable unless i'm in a little dungeon that doesn't have all of the background stuff. I thought after the beta this would be fixed-or at least reported that the system specs aren't supported.

I can play a lot of games on the lowest of settings but this is absolutely unplayable. Any kind of fighting that requires strategy or active thought is not possible. My diablo game has turned into "click in a direction with a splash damage attack." But don't try anything more, you'll just scatter the enemies and spend longer killing them one-by-one.

Are the blizz guys testing this even able to play with game with these specs? It sure doesn't seem like anyone else with this MacBook Pro can.

9400m is supported.

Please wait until you get to test the live client. Beta is over and we want to reserve these forums for live client issues.

Good day,

I am pretty novice with computer and I am wondering if I need a new computer or if an upgrade is possible (and if yes, can it be done online?). At this time, I have:

Mac OS X
Version 10.5.8 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1 Go 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I have no clue what those numbers means but 10.5.8 is on the "no can do" list.

What are my options please?

Thank you

Hi.

Total Number of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP55.00AC.B03
SMC Version (system): 1.47f2

NVIDIA GeForce 9400M:

Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
Type: GPU
Bus: PCI
VRAM (Total): 256 MB
Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)
Device ID: 0x0863
Revision ID: 0x00b1

Color LCD:
Resolution: 1280 x 800
Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)

To my disappointment, the game is completely unplayable. I get about 1 frame per second if I'm in an empty area. I have nothing else running, and a dedicated broadband connection. If this card is above "minimum" specs, should the game not be playable ?

Upgrade to OSX Lion, current version is 10.7.4

And yes, you can upgrade it online through the Apple App store.
I think mine meet at least the minimum requirements except the graphics card:

iMac
Processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB

Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4

Pls tell me that I can play D3 at least in the lowest setting :s Thanks.

Then again looks like it might be possible from what I'm reading :)
Sorry if this post is in the wrong section, but i'm running Diablo III on an Imac with what i believe are pretty top of the line specs. 4gb 1067 mhz DDR3, 500gb storage, 3.06 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo , NVIDIA GeForce 9400, the only thing is im still running Os snow leopard. I am encountering lag and slow response time with my settings turned up only on medium and the screen resolution around the best. I was wondering if anyone knew whether it was the fact that my mac verison is 10.6.8 and not 10.7? Or could it be another problem such as connection to the server etc....?
