bypass video check?

I'm getting an error that my ATI HD 4800 is not supported, yet it is listed in the high performance list at http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/D3supportedvideo. Is there a method of forcing the client to bypass the video check? Otherwise the client simply closes and I am unable to play the game. I've updated to the latest catalyst 12.4 drivers to no avail.

Hitting escape at that error worked. I'll have to start the driver downgrade game to see which version will work with D3 without error, but so far the error seems to be completely cosmetic, like Blizzard forgot to add the PCIe hex for this vid card in the validation step.
