Title says it. The installation gets to about 25-40% then my computer shuts down with no warning, no error. I checked my temps while installing thinking it might be that, but CPU never gets above 42 C. Any suggestions?

I work as a computer repair man. Sadly it could be a lot of things. If it was in the shop I would do these things. First I would look at your mother board and see if you have bad capacitors. For the last 7 years companies have been putting crappy capacitors that swell up. If they are bad they would bulge at the top. They should be flat on top. A capacitor looks like a very small battery shape. With silver tops usually. Second I would switch out your power supply. Power supply are the usual culprit in pcs that power down. Third I would take out your memory ram then put one back in and then see if it happens again. Then I would run chkdsk /r from the command line. Then I would reinstall windows. There is just a idea of some of the first things I would do. It is probably not your os and is a piece of hardware failing on you.. ram , powersupply, bad harddrive..
