Well, I posted a bug thread for Haunt and Swarm. I do believe they should be improved by IAS. Those two spells are the "standard" DoT spells for WD and if anything, these two SHOULD be improved by IAS. The others have a mix of initial blast + dot.

By the way, Firebats is a channel spell and it is improved by IAS right?

As I said, dunno if it's a bug, or intentional design, as neither of these abilities have an initial damage to them, which makes your case more likely. (That it may be a bug resulting from not having initial damage.)

As for Firebats, this has to be tested, and thank you for drawing it to my attention. Hopefully Eshi will be able to test this as well, if they're still around. I will add a note on the main post regarding this.

thanks for the help and a good read.

Does runes depend on the type of WD i want to play? I think that you would consider me a high dps nuker right now. My build is poison dart, acid cloud, spirit walk, Gargantuan, mass confusion, and fetish army. with jungle fortitude, bad medicine, and vision quest. I just keep all my abilities on cool down spaming acid cloud constantly for lots of damage. confuse/spirit walk away if i get into close combat.

I am only in nightmare mode act 3 so i'm still testing out builds. Your information will really help me toward a balanced and viable build.

Can you clarify how does int boost damage.. i mean in terms of percentage...how much 1 int boost how much damage?

The Rune 'Medusa Spiders' adds a 60% slow, giving this primary some awesome utility. It slows *most* elites, and can pin them as well. Plus you've got Zombie Wall and Terrify, so as far as Solo and Group effectiveness, this spell locks !@#$ down ;)

I use a 1.77 apm dagger, 760ish dps weapon, and stack IAS. This in conjunction with Darts gives me versatility, as Spiders spammed on one target does insane damage, and on a group is an effective aoe. **I don't know how bad the IAS nerf will hit WDs, maybe our pets will become viable and we can all go crit?

I wish I had Fraps, I'd put up a game play vid from Inferno A2 to show how Medusa Spiders can be very effective.

Awesome guide. Before coming to this guide I have been using this setup ( https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Gwaylon-1949/hero/24772103 ), looking for any suggestion on tweaking. I am currently blazing through act 3 on hell with this setup, mainly use locust swarm/devouring swarm in combination with zombie bears (before it was acid cloud/corpsebomb, very effective). Idea was for cc, I run to at least 5-6 enemies, use soul harvest venegeful spirit, b4 the pets attacked and kite while the pets fence them in (movement speed 12%). Then use corpse bomb and poison dart/snake to the face for cc and single targets.

Had a few random deaths (mainly lag), but soloed bosses with this setup on 1st try and with no issues.
