Gun Talk... .45 ?

people that like 1911 have small hands
you know what they say about guys with small hands

They use less hand soap and buy smaller gloves?

Small hands?

Maybe we just don't feel the need to have a hand-held Howitzer and can accomplish the same thing with a less bulky, more reliable, battle-proven piece of hardware?

Colt 1911, or if you can't find an actual 1911 model the 1991 is a great alt, and cheaper because its the same gun without the 'legit creds'. Also Sig P220 .45; buddy has one great gun, got that built in safety so it looks super sleek and while we've had the Colt 1991 and S&W's jam once and a while, yet to see it happen with the Sig. S&W I would argue though if you decide to go with a revolver

The standard BHP magazine has a capacity of what 13 rounds? Not a lower capacity firearm imho.

Cause you could never install a thicker grip than the average for a 1911 to fit your hand size, no never.

I have 2 .45 acp

Smith & Wesson 1911 Commander .45 4" w/Hoge grip $1300

New Taurus PT-145 .45 3.25" ( this model shoots beautiful and very littel recoil compared to the 4" S&W $379)

CCW both but the PT-145 is very nice and has 10+1 rnds

Generally when you say 1911, it meant 1911 or 1911A1, 7 round box
hence the definition of small grip

I go with the Wilson 47D myself so I'm used to 8. BHP is a double stack mag though, I don't understand the comparison.

Sig p226 in. 40sw. Good stopping power and lower perceived recoil than. 45 acp. Also never hurts to have the extra rounds.

My dad has a Springfield .45, it's very nice. Imo, you cannot go wrong with Springfield and Colt, however Colt is much more expensive than Springfield.

I myself inherited his Llama .45 (made in Spain) that he bought back in the '70's. It's a great pistol, but hard to find mags because the company no longer exists. A company does make the mags, but they are very expensive.

So yeah, I'd say Springfield or Colt.

something about a preoccupation with launching loud projectiles and revving motors is dull

And if you can't do the job with 8-9 rounds, you won't do it with any more.

If you're worth a damn there's nothing on two legs that should take more than two rounds to put on it's back.
