Adding CE to account, obtain standard key?

I went to midnight launch last night. I was unable to get CE. But this morning I raced to Wal Mart(which did not do a midnight release here) and got a copy of CE.
Now I would like to add CE to my main account and not create a whole new one. I have read that blizzard will honour the original copy and create a new key. Is this true? How can I go about doing this? |

From people I have talked with, it seems to be at the discretion of the phone rep you get in touch with. I have not tried it myself, but I have heard both from friends who wanted to do this. Some got a new key, some didn't.
