I have the same gfx card but I have a different problem. The game does not crash but it runs at about 5 fps on the login screen at 1080p resolution and low settings. It runs at about 10-15 fps in game at 1024x768 and low settings.
I turned on MSI afterburner to see how much of my gfx card was being used and it is showing that 0% is being used. So it looks like 3D acceleration is not working at all and it is doing all software rendering(?)
I am at work now but when I get home, I will post my dxdiag and the d3 log file in this thread. Hopefully we can get a fix for this because this gfx card should be able to handle this game MUCH better.
Edit: Misread 5450 as 5650. I think D3 has major issues with ATI cards in particular. It is a shame this was not fixed during beta testing.
